Less Than 3 Weeks Out....

Adam Ashouri here,

Seeing that my other two colleagues have posted in here, I believe it is time for me to follow suit.

It seems like that the day we got the email telling us that we have been accepted to be a part of this amazing journey this summer was last week, when in actuality it was over a month ago. Its funny how time flies. Now that we are less than 3 weeks away from flying out, its time for us to get serious about what we need to do to become prepared. I know i speak for all of us when i say that we are very appreciative of Professor Benhart and the weekly meetings letting us know where we are in the process and what we need to do to be ready.

I look forward to posting more in this blog and being able to get to know all of the other guys we are going with on the trip better. I also look forward to sharing our experiences with all of our followers through this blog. Stay tuned for more!

pre-journey talk

Hey this is Mike Mattern.  Our team is going to be having our Monday meeting in about 3 hours so I figured I would type in my first blog before then. Having traveled out of the country to China and France before I am not so nervous about how I am to get to Saudi Arabia as much as I am nervous about unknowingly insulting someone by doing some improper Americanisms upon my arrival. But to say the least I am very excited for this trip and I have been studying up on do's and don'ts as well as current events and general knowledge of Saudi Arabia. Tonight we are going out to eat to get to know our group members better, I can't wait!

Saudi Arabia 2012!!!

Tim Leung here...

Hello everyone! It's a new year, and we got a new group going to Saudi Arabia. I'm super excited about this summer, and I am so thankful for Nazar and the whole FTR International organization for providing such a great opportunity. I know that this trip will be one of those things that I'll remember for the rest of my life, and I cannot wait to get it started. All my classes are winding down right now as we prepare for finals next week, but it's hard to stay focused on finals knowing that in less than three weeks I will be on my way to Saudi Arabia!! To make matters worse, we have meetings every Monday and discuss things like the awesome food, housing, and internship that we will have. The anticipation is killing me...
